Hello All, As many of you know actor, Adam West, passed away June 9, 2017 at the age of 88, after a brief battle with leukemia. Although he had an extensive acting career, he is most memorable as Batman. He played the "Dark Knight" on television from 1966-1968, and on screen in 1966's Batman:The Movie. Even though I was born a decade later than the year he first put on the cowl, through the magic of re-runs I was able to enjoy Mr West and other fine actors in The Batman Show. I remember watching and loving the show as early as 4yrs old. To me he will always be THE Batman, and I thank you Adam.
The next day, The Jimmy Byron Trio had a show at The Local, Roncesvalles, Toronto. We decided to dedicate the show to the late great Adam West. I wore my T-shirt with the famous 60s Batman logo, as well as my original button up Batman shirt, made by LennyNYC of Lennyshirts. We weren't the only ones of course to pay homage to Adam and his Batman. The Royal Cinema on College St put a message on their marquee, Los Angeles put up the Bat Signal, and The Revue Cinema on Roncesvalles had a screening of Batman:The Movie (1966). The continued tributes are very touching to see.
Here is a compilation of photos from our show, along w/ videos.
